We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway. Such a cosy little spot for an Autumn weekend.

Such a charming little cottage full of sweet, homey touches and a great position for easy access to cafes and beach walks. Thanks, Rae for making us (and our dog) so welcome.
Jenny and Brad, April 2018

We had four beautiful nights here – so relaxing. Lots of long walks, brunch at excellent Bank & Co café and a special dinner at Merrijig Inn.
Trina and Dean, April 2018

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and attractive and close to the sights. Would definitely recommend to friends. Had a great time.
Corinne and David, Easter 2018

A gorgeous, cosy home fitted out with everything we needed. Perfect position in a wonderful little town.
Tegan and Jamie, New Year’s Eve 2017/18

We have loved Port Fairy since 1999 and stayed for many eight night stints twice a year since then.  Quite simply the Coach House is perfectly situated and is our very comfortable home during our stay.  Rae continually updates the cottage while maintaining its charm.  We usually book six months in advance.  The beautiful links golf course is a big drawcard.
Kim and Steve. November 2017

Thank you, Rae. Just what we needed. The cottage is so very comfortable and clean. Peaceful and so very pleased to be able to have my little furry child with me.
Deborah. July 2016

Had a great stay. Lovely accommodation, particularly the bed! Dog enjoyed our holiday as well.  Hope to back.
‘Rocco’s and owners. July 2016

Thank you for a very comfortable home away from home. A great retreat for our 40th wedding anniversary. A very relaxing and enjoyable time and so close to Main Street and attractions.
Jan and Robert. July 2016

The Coach House is a wonderful place to stay. It's great to be able to walk to town, shops, river ocean and restaurants. The cottage is very well equipped. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Love having a large bedroom to spread out in. The fire kept the place cosy.
It was a great, restful break for us and we got to see lots of the area and awesome countryside.
The Saturday Market was super and the historic places lit up at night were beautiful. We had superb dinner at Merrijig Inn. We can't wait to come back in a different season to explore more of this fantastic location.
Lyn and Lex. July 2016

Loved our stay in pretty Port Fairy. Rosie was very comfortable in front of the fire (as were her owners). We hope to return.
Greg, Chantelle and Rosie. Easter 2016

What a lovely, comfortable, homely cottage. Position is perfect. Loved the birds carrying on morning and evening. All our needs were catered for and we couldn't ask for more. Thanks so much for being pet friendly. Ruby had a wonderful stay, too.

We have loved staying at the Coach House and getting to know beautiful Port Fairy. We are feeling very relaxed and loving the amazing birdsong at dawn and dusk.

Great Location & Charming Cottage, 5 Stars
This place ticks all the boxes. Close to town, Close to wharf, & opposite the walkway to the beach footbridge. But it's the lovely cottage charm that makes it a winner. Will be staying again. The Rards, Melbourne.

We intended to keep travelling but came across the Coach House and couldn't resist a couple of days enjoying the fire, books, music, etc.
Roger and Joy, Adelaide

How lovely to just step out of the city rush and spend a peaceful week in this thoughtfully presented cottage with everything at our fingertips.
Julie and Anthony, Adelaide

Came for a day; stayed four. Cottage is perfect. Locals are very friendly in this picturesque town.
Julie and Michael, North Queensland.

Thank you for all the comforts of home, done with such style. Have done all the walks and most of the restaurants.
Liz and Maurice, NSW

A delightful retreat once again.
Kay and Brian, Melbourne

We were drawn to the name "Port Fairy" and hope to return to this cosy cottage, fresh breezes and empty beaches. A wonderful winter getaway.
Rebecca and Michael, NSW

The cottage has soul - A perfect choice for our wedding night.
Hans and Lyb, Linton

Saw a seal in the river and did well for old books at the Drill Hall. We recommend Portofinos for dinner.
Max and Marilyn, Melbourne

The Coach House has surpassed our expectations with everything we could possibly wish for - . We'll return to enjoy the fire, books and music in winter.
Amanda and Joe, Melbourne

What more can I write that hasn't already been written. It was a pleasure to come across the Coach House whose owner had thought of everything. A delightful cottage in a delightful setting. A place we would return to often - if we weren't so far from home.
Kate and Graham, London

We stayed (and the dogs) at The Coach House the first week of July - what a cozy and comfortable house! Everything supplied to make your stay just right, a great gas log fire, perfect in cold weather. Comfortable bed, lots of towels and well equipped kitchen. The central location is an added bonus, we'll certainly be back.
Thanks, Rae. Jan, Melbourne

The Coach House is a delightful home away from home. Wake up to the morning sunlight glowering off the regal towering Norfolk Island Pines outside the window, cosy up to the splendid pot bellied heater (gas) whilst reading up on the history of the region in the literature provided, listen to the raucaus evening chatterings of the many & varied native birds, amble along the riverside promenade & grab a few potato cakes at Wisharts or stroll a tad further over to the beach & let your dogs have a good old fossick! The town centre is only a moment away for a spot of shopping, great coffee and some fabulous restaurants. Or purchase your own supplies, open the red wine & fire up the BBQ in the courtyard or cook up a feast in the fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher!)! Walking is a must; stroll the streets for some history & enchantment or, for some Bear Grylls style rugged terrain, we recommend the walk towards The Craggs...a massage may be required afterwards...check out Rae's book of info for some recommendations. Of course, a warm bath and an old fashioned Nanna nap on the couch or in the comfy Queen size bed was also an option. The Coach House is an all weather must stay.
Pam & David, Port Melbourne

We keep returning to this perfect cottage because the owner has so thoughtfully provided everything we need for a relaxing and self indulgent getaway. Position and charm, plus all the extra touches make this our favourite destination along the Great Ocean Road.
John, Melbourne

We have lost count of the number of years we have stayed at the Coach House to attend the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival and keep coming back because it is just so good! Think charming and cosy sitting room, very well equipped kitchen, romantic bedroom and separate bathroom upstairs, always stocked with high quality towels and bedlinen, fresh flowers on the table downstairs, a small but interesting library, practical advice on what to see and do in and around Port Fairy and suggestions for restaurants and cafes should you want to eat out. You could also have a barbecue in the pretty garden outside, including many native birds in the surrounding trees and shrubs. Rae has furnished the Coach House with much style and ensures it is maintained impeccably. We always look forward to our annual long weekend visits and hope to have more time to relax and stay longer in future.
Michele, Melbourne
